Modern custom-built media unit with electric fire and 55" TV

We worked with our client based in Poole to design and install a modern media unit for their newly built home. The unit was to span an entire wall, incorporating a built-in electric fire, a wall-mounted 55" TV, ample storage, and display areas. The desired finish was white grain slab doors, providing a sleek and contemporary look to complement the home's interior.

Client requirements

The client's primary requirements for the media unit included: 

• - A contemporary design fitting the aesthetics of a new build home.
• - A built-in electric fire to add warmth and ambiance to the living space.
• - A wall-mounted 55" TV for a streamlined entertainment setup.
• - Plenty of storage space to keep the area clutter-free.
• - Display areas for personal items and decorative pieces.
• - A total width of 2.35 meters to perfectly fit the designated wall space.

Design and Implementation

 Understanding the client's vision was crucial. We began with an in-depth consultation to discuss their preferences and needs. Using their input, our design team created a series of sketches and 3D renderings to visualize the final product. 

  Built-in Electric Fire and TV Mount

•    The media unit was designed to house a sleek, built-in electric fire at its center, flanked by custom shelving for aesthetic balance. 
•    Above the electric fire, a secure mount was installed for the 55" TV, ensuring seamless integration and optimal viewing height. 

  Storage and Display

•    The unit included a combination of open shelves and closed cabinets. The open shelves provided display areas for books, artwork, and decorative items, enhancing the room's visual appeal. 
•    The closed storage sections, concealed by white grain slab doors, offered ample space to store electronics, DVDs, and other essentials, maintaining a clean and organised appearance. 

  Materials and Finish

•    The chosen finish of white grain slab doors contributed to the modern, minimalist aesthetic desired by the client. The material's subtle texture added a touch of sophistication while remaining easy to clean and maintain. 

 Final Outcome
